Toffee Moon’s new collection for Spring Summer introduces a light and airy feel with Silver Grey appearing in both the boys and girls collections adding a refreshing twist to the delicate shades of pale blue, pink and cream across the collection. These colours weave their way through intricate detailing and traditional stripes in this timeless collection for boys and girls from new born up to two years on selected styles.This modern twist contrasts beautifully with the new vintage feel in the girls collection. New sleep suits and tops in silver grey and pink combine contrast smocking detail with puff sleeves, along side a new double layer dress, all reminiscent of a bygone era. The knitwear adds to the story, with beautiful ballerina style wrap over cardigans. The boys collection introduces new
knitwear combining silver grey and pale blue in classic stripes and rib knits with roll neck detail. The sleep suits are still available in the timeless plain blue and pale stripes, but for Spring, a new stripy sleep suit carrying
on the sloe-berry theme from Autumn Winter adds a hint of sporting fun. A practical romper suit, tops in silver grey and pale blue and a new wide leg pants complete the collection.

Toffee Moon’s Spring Summer Collection will be available in store from February 2010.

Toffee Moon has been created by Helen Flowers and Elaine Smyth. Based in Manchester, they have a combined experience of over twenty years of designing and sourcing children’s wear on behalf of some of the major high street and on line brands.

Launched to consumers in January 2009,Toffee Moon clothing bridges the gap effortlessly between practical day wear and comfortable sleepwear.
The Collection for boys and girls offers a range of sleep suits, pants, tops, knitwear and accessories for new borns up to twelve months (Selected items available up to two years).

The intricate detail of each garment has been carefully considered to ensure it not only looks exceptional but is also practical and comfortable and there is plenty of room allowed for baby to wriggle and grow. All the
clothing is made using super soft cotton rich fabrics, so is beautiful to touch and helps protect delicate skin. Colour is also an important factor for the brand with strong Toffee browns and deep Sloe-berry blues mixed with classic pale pink, blue and cream providing a refreshing twist to the collection.

“We have always had a shared passion to produce clothing for children that delivers comfort, quality but with an emphasis on timeless design. As mothers, we found this was not readily available on the high street and felt driven to do it ourselves. We hope that our collection delivers a simplicity that is both practical and beautiful.”

 Mobiles are a traditional craft in Denmark, but the modern mobile - as a decoration for the home - was created in 1954 by Christian Flensted and his wife Grethe. Their first design, the Stork mobile, was a great success, and now flies all over the world.

Christian Flensted became known as the "Uromager", a name impossible to translate into English, which means a "maker of things mischievous and always on the move".

Today, their son Ole and his wife Aase continue the tradition, with ideas for new and original mobiles issuing regularly from their "Department of Space Research".

Flensted Mobiles are created so that the elements are in constant motion while the entire mobile maintains a harmonic balance. Each mobile is carefully assembled, and balanced by skilful hands. They are packed so that they are ready to hang.
